Welcome to Philosophy 101!
This is a wiki for your Introduction to Philosophy for Autumn 2011. You have complete freedom to change any page on this wiki. (But do so responsibly -- I am able to track all changes you make.)
Of most concern to you on this wiki are the Reading Response pages. I have created a link under "Reading Responses" (find it on the Sidebar) for each of your names. Click on your name in order to create a page (just click through the pop-up screen: leave your page name unchanged, page content set to Blank, don't put it in a folder); when you create it, click "Save" on the bottom right to keep it in existence. After you create a page, you can navigate to it by going to Reading Responses > Your Name. You can edit it by clicking the Edit tab at the top left of the page and then clicking the Save button on the bottom left. (I recommend that you type your updates in a word processing program and then copy-paste them onto your wiki page; this way you do not lose your work if your internet connection fails.)
You must update your wiki page with at least five entries in order to receive full credit for your reading responses. When you add a reading response, please do so by inserting your new content above the old content on your wiki. The header for your entry should have the form <Entry #X, Response to [Name of Reading], Date>.
You also must comment on at least five entries made by five other (distinct) people in order to receive full credit for your response engagements. To do this, navigate to the person's reading response wiki page, read their entry, and add a comment (just like you do on Facebook). Keep track of your responses on your own wiki page, at the bottom.
You are, of course, free to make as many reading responses and comments as you would like! You are also free to add pages to this wiki, provide links or content which you think might be of interest to others in the course, and so on. This is one of the nice features of a wiki: it is completely democratic. You can do anything I can do (with the exception of deleting pages).

I love people in general but only those who listen will go much further in life then from where they are now.

What is the perfect analogy for life? What could we give as an example for life?

Dr. Jones, how bad do our papers have to be before you decide to remove them from the wiki?

I wonder why you want an analogy for life.... As for examples, pick up any biology textbook.

Hey,Hey! I'm almost done with the wiki. Almost got my ducks in a row. Although, from the finals, I'm about to quack, quack, quack.
